Position: |
Mobile Technologies Manager (1) |

Detailed request: |
Responsibilities:
-Build and lead a growing PM team.
-Help define and drive process integration between Shenzhen and Redmond.
-Work with the Redmond PM and Product Management team to set product direction for the features developed in Shenzhen.
-Own one or more feature areas and ensure that the end product meets the expectations of the spec.
-Work with the Redmond team to deliver specs that the SZ dev team can build products to.
-Coordinate communication between the wide range of teams involved in our projects in Redmond, Shenzhen and other parts of China.
Qualifications:
-A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
-Minimum 7 years of experience in project management and/or product feature specification roles with at least 2 years of those including a team management function.
-Proven track record of building great teams.
-Strong mobile user empathy. Competency with rich mobile client, web app, and/or web services design.
-Experience in mobile application software projects, web service development, a solid understanding of the unique challenges the mobile space presents and experience in working with mobile operators is highly desirable.
-Outstanding written and oral communication skills, strong oral and written English is a priority with the ability to communicate orally in Mandarin highly desirable.
-The ability to move to Shenzhen, China and travel to the US several times a year.

-Provide RF System Design/Technical support for new projects/products developments to meet both performance and cost targets.
-Participant in product design covering the whole development cycle inc. system definition, HW/SW partition, schematics, simulation, High-speed layout guidelines, validation, NPI (New Product Introduction) and DFX (design for manufacturing.)
-Upon request, Sourcing of alternative functional blocks for compatibility and cost effectiveness and benchmarking of these functional blocks
-Work with software team to deliver complete system design
-Technical support to the sales and marketing team

Successful candidate would join a fast moving, international design team, lead project team to serve various OEM leaders of communication industry in product development
•Bachelor degree or above preferred major in Communications, at least 4 years working experience in Telecom product development; Participated in at least 2-3 full-projects (from feature definition to debug/verification)
•May act as technical leader and define system architecture. Sr. system/architecture engineer with hardware design experience preferred.
•Require hardware design experience in at least three or more of the following areas:
- 32-bit embedded processor (PowerPC, ARM, MIPS, etc)
- Data switch or circuit switch design
- High speed design (PCI-Express, Rapid IO, XAUI, etc)
- FPGA/CPLD/DSP design or glue-logic design
- Embedded OS (Linux/VxWorks, etc)
•Strong English communication skills a plus
